Singled out and supported by Lily Coleman, wife of renowned trumpet
player Bill Coleman, Look To God - formerly “The Black & White
Gospel Singers” – triumphed when they opened for the celebrated
“Dixie Hummingbirds” in 1990. Since then, the group has
continued to evolve, captivating the most diversified audiences…
After having kindled the torch of Gospel and Negro Spiritual classics
for a long time, the new group devotes itself more and more to the interpretation
of original compositions, revealing its identity and personality. The
texts, perpetrating Spirituals and Gospel Songs, reflect the depth of
their experience and belief in the human being.
The group’s musical style converges with all music genres from
African lament to modern Gospel. Its members represent a fusion of cultures,
with a wide diversity of ethnic origins: American, European, African,
Asian. And with one common denominator: fabulous talent!
