The HARMONY HARMONEERS are five singers who perform A CAPPELLA, a style made popular by such famous groups as the GOLDEN GATE QUARTET and the HARMONIZING FOUR, both from Virginia, the DIXIE HUMMINGBIRDS from South Carolina, and the FAIRFIELD FOUR from Tennessee.

Willie Turner, the leader of the HARMONY HARMONEERS, describes their style as "using the voice as an instrument", without any musical accompaniment.
Formed in 1976, the group is originally made up of four brothers: Willie, Calvin, Andrew and Melvin Turner, who are later joined by Clarence Langston.

Between the end of 1999 and the beginning of 2000, they give their first concerts in Europe, mainly in Italy.
In 2006, they are invited to be part of the remarkable documentary, "Return to Goree", filmed in Senegal and directed by YOUSSOU NDOUR.
The City of Atlanta Office of Cultural Affairs chooses the HARMONY HARMONEERS to represent the city on the 4th of July 2006 at the 40th anniversary of the Montreux Jazz.

Today as yesterday, the art of A CAPPELLA gospel singing continues to fascinate audiences and artists alike. The latter include such famous singers as PAUL SIMON (who recorded with the Dixie Hummingbirds) and ELVIS COSTELLO (who worked with the Fairfield Four).

The HARMONY HARMONEERS perform in a style that is relatively little known in Europe. Their music is deeply moving, touching the heart with the beauty of the arrangements and the opulence of the voices
